Denver's reign as champions comes to an end

Minnesota storms back from 20-point deficit to win 98-90

The Denver Nuggets' reign as NBA champions came to an end on Sunday night after they were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 7 of their Western Conference semifinal series. The Timberwolves stormed back from a 20-point deficit to win 98-90, sending the Nuggets home and advancing to the Western Conference Finals.

The Nuggets got off to a hot start, opening up a 17-point lead in the first half. They extended their lead to 20 points with 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter, but the Timberwolves began to chip away at the lead in the fourth quarter. With just over two minutes remaining in the game, the Timberwolves tied the game at 90-90. They then took the lead for good on a jumper by Karl-Anthony Towns with 1:34 remaining.

The Nuggets had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but a three-pointer by Nikola Jokic bounced off the rim. The Timberwolves then sealed the victory with a free throw by D'Angelo Russell.

The Timberwolves will now face the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors are the defending NBA champions, and they will be looking to win their fourth championship in six years.
